April 27th Minutes

 

  1. Welcome – Visitors and new members –  15 members present plus the presenter

 

  1. Secretary’s Report – Fred setting in for Ruby yet again

 

  1. Treasurer’s Report – Carol Dutcher – CAA has about $1276 in cash and in the bank accocunt

 

  1. Hospitality – Judy Hamilton - today’s snacks are provided by Faye Henderson, Julie Northcott, and Richard Leslie

  1. Exhibits – Spring Arts & Crafts at the Chester Library May 12th 10 to 3 – four members have signed up to participate

 

  1. Our space at Crossroads update _ Terry Lacy’s work was noticed at Crossroads and 17 pieces will be on display at Homearama

 

  1. Summer Invitational All Media Show a juried exhibition at the Foundation Office. – June 15th Friday will be the opening, entry the week before, no judge yet, $100 - $75 - $50 awards, need to determine hours for the gallery, flyer on website

 

  1. Everett Butler will present the program on collography

 

  1. Website – Fred Fann – Bob Boone will be the next artist of the month, then Pauline Nesbitt and Janet Vissar

 

  1. Open agenda & Kudo’s – Bob Boone’s work is on display at the Chester Library, Every Thursday there will be an Art Walk and other activities on Chester Green. Fort Clifton show will be Mother’s Day weekend. The Chesterfield Center for the Arts Foundation has gotten the letter from the county about the center. The group needs to hire a fund raiser to raise $1 million dollars.
